Maintenance Technician
Welcome to Southwind Farms!We are a potato grower/shipper that specializes in Gourmet Russian Banana Potatoes, Purple Fiesta Potatoes and Red Thumb Potatoes.
We are looking for an individual who is punctual, dependable and hard-working to fill a Maintenance position in our warehouse.
This individual will be responsible for:
Performing preventative maintenance in the shed.
Maintaining and repairing machinery and general equipment.
Fabricating machinery and structures occasionally.
Reviewing and completing work order requests.
Filling out paperwork related to Food Safety, sanitation, and maintenance.
Cleaning their workstation daily.
Being present at their workstation on time every day.
Following safety rules and guidelines.
Performing other tasks as needed in the shed and on the farm.
Due to nature of job, additional hours may be required to complete task.
Obtain quotes and specs for equipment to be purchased with input from General Manager.
Review and approve all maintenance purchases with input from General Manager.
Qualifications for this position include:
Maintenance experience.
Mechanically inclined.
Welding skills - experience with stainless steel a plus.
Electrical experience a plus.
Understanding of PLC and or programing a plus.
Able to lift 50 lbs +.
Bilingual - Spanish a plus.
Computer literate.
The working conditions for this job can include:
Work is performed indoors and outdoors.
Cool temperatures.
Continuous loud noise.
Possible slippery or uneven walking surfaces.
Requires moving around moving machinery/heavy equipment.
Periodic overtime.
Safety clothing required (reflective or highly visible clothing).
Includes walking, standing, climbing stairs and lifting heavy objects.
Benefits include:
Optional health insurance after 90 days of full-time employment.
Periodic overtime.
Christmas bonus.
Performance reviews.
This is a full-time hourly job starting at $25 per hour.

Hours are normally Mon-Fri 8:
