Responsibilities:
As a Purchasing and Inventory Control Specialist you will:
Purchasing:
Source and purchase materials, goods, and services to meet our company's operational requirements.
Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement needs and develop effective procurement strategies.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier agreements.
Inventory Control:
Implement and oversee effective inventory management strategies to ensure optimal stock levels.
Conduct regular stock assessments and audits to minimize discrepancies and avoid stockouts.
Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics teams to streamline inventory processes.
Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements and generate accurate reports.
Qualifications:
To excel in this dual role, you should have:
Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar purchasing role.
Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
Ability to build and maintain vendor relationships.
Solid analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
Familiarity with relevant software, such as ERP systems and inventory management tools.
